Jan-March 2019

The girls (and mom) worked hard in January on 5th grade science projects.  The results were fabulous and their teacher, Mrs. Simi, thought so too!  It definitely was a lot of hard work -  the actual experimenting and all the steps they followed with the research they did and then displaying it so nicely - phew!

Caleb, Leland and Ashton on Valentines Day.  Leland gave out a rose to every girl at school!

Annalyn's last drill performance as a junior - so much fun to watch her dance!

The girls created a dance of their own and performed in front of their 5th grade class and parents.  They practiced sooo hard all on their own and it definitely paid off!  They both are such fun and talented dancers.

Caleb took these pictures one night as we were having our few minutes of scriptures before bed.  I think he really likes his hair.   Memories, memories!

Jackson, Caleb and Ashton after a great band concert!  Jackson and Caleb both do percussion and Ashton plays the trumpet.

Another huge 5th grade accomplishment for the girls - they put on Peter Pan the musical as a class!  The girls both got to share the role of Wendy - switching the pink nightgown halfway through!  They memorized soooo many lines and sung a lot of songs with everyone.  Presley even got to sing a little solo at the very end.  It was so entertaining and well done!  Lots of extended family members and even our neighbor Karen came to watch them shine!

Such memories they made with all their friends and classmates -  I don't think they'll ever forget it!

We went to a wedding reception at the end of March for Quin Volpe and got to see the Peays.  The girls love being with Abby any chance they get!

Nov - December 2018

Cutest thank you cards ever!  Mom, Avery and Presley had fun making about a dozen unique cards that were given to custodian and lunch workers and others at Eastlake.  Mrs. Simi's whole class organized a Thanksgiving feast for them!

One of our contributions to Thanksgiving dinner - he turned out pretty well!  Don't know if the veggies got eaten but it was the display that mattered, ha ha.  We got together at Brian and Alisha's new, big beautiful house to eat and hang out.

Cross stitch mom did and put in a package to Megan and family.

Cross stitch mom is currently working on - probably won't get to be displayed until next December, but it's been fun to work on it during the Christmas season.

Couple of cross stitch ornaments for gifts too - so small and doable - yet so pretty and festive!

Erin and Henry and mom decided to check out the German Christmas Market in Salt Lake for the first time.  We fell in love!  So many interesting booths with homemade gifts and places with great food!  I'd love to make it a tradition and go every year

Presley performed with Daybreak Children's Choir at the Joseph Smith Building and did fabulous!  We love walking around afterward downtown and taking in the holiday sights.

The girls with their modern contemporary dance class.  They performed for the parents - so fun!

This is the art project mom did with the 5th graders in Mrs. Simi's class.  It was pretty successful and  almost everyone had a good time!

Avery and Presley in their festive green shirts after they performed their holiday show with the Eastlake choir.

We went to the One Voice Children's Choir Christmas concert with Cassidy and her mom.  Such a fun outing and such a treat to hear the choir - it was amazing!

Visiting Dad and Myra in their gorgeous home, all dressed up and decorated floor to ceiling!

Beautiful Avery and her songs on the piano!  We had a little house concert for her to play all the things she's been working on.  It was so fun to honor her and her hard work!
