Family night with Uncle Bri and saying goodbye...

At the end of our trip we had a fun Monday night at Brian and Alisha's house.  Alisha made orange chicken (our favorite!) and they made a sweet, frothy drink that Caleb, Avery and Presley will talk about forever!  Brian talked about the story in the Book of Mormon when the people of Ammon buried all their weapons of war and kept their promise to the Lord that they would not kill the Lamanites.  The kids acted it out and even put their swords under the carpet at one point  :)

Then, the last day before we left we met the Blanchards at a park and renewed friendships - it's amazing how easy that is to do!  It was great catching up with Madelyn while the kids played.  Here's Lily with the girls,

and Elliott is in this one with everyone.  Such fun friends!

Last, we went to say hello and goodbye to the Jeppsons and Johansons.  They were camped out on the lawn at the U of U in front of the music building because most of the kids were doing a music camp that week.  We got a great watermelon shot!

We'll see you next year, everyone!

Happy Birthday Grandma Jeanne!

On Grandma Jeanne's birthday, we all enjoyed hanging out - in her tree...

on Aunt Rachael's scooter...

and on the porch, of course!

There was girl time,

and boy time! (check out Caleb's face!)

There were hugs and treats for grandma

and plenty of smiles all around!

Water park, July 4th, and Bees game - phew!

We spent a day at Cherry Hills Water Park (minus dad who had to stay home with the stomach flu we had given him) with an uncle, aunts and cousins - Caleb's favorite ride was the one with tubes and the girls loved the lazy river the best.  We were definitely tired out by the end!

Hooray for so many cute girls!

This is the scene on the 4th of July in front of the Johanson's house.  Some fireworks, some fiddling, and some ice cream cones with cousins - what more could you ask for on the 4th?

And here we are at the Salt Lake Bees Game with Grandma T and Grandpa Mike - beautiful night for baseball and...

cotton candy of course!

Didn't get a very good shot of the mascot, but Avery's face says it all when it comes to shaking hands with the big bee!

This is a picture of two darling sets of twins and a good sport in the back - we visited Aunt Joneen and Uncle John for a few minutes one afternoon and the girls met Jack and Cherie Matsen's twins.  It was so fun to hear them talk about it after we left - how they look like each other but not exactly the same, like us, and how one of them likes pink and one likes purple - like us too!

Sundance!

We met the Johanson's at Sundance one day and decided to take the ski lift up the mountain and do some exploring. This is the view the girls and I had from our chair lift.  In front of us:

and behind us:

We decided to go on a little hike before riding down again.  Here's the gang -

It proved to be a bit hotter than we thought it would be and we didn't have enough water to go around which made it that much worse...but we survived!

What a day!

On a bright Saturday morning, the girls and I got to go see Annalyn swim in her first swim meet!  The "on your mark, get set, go!" was so fun to see and she did a great job swimming!

It's fantastic to have such a grown-up cousin - and such a cute baby cousin!

Then we headed up the canyon to Snowbird, where we met Grandpa Brian and Great Grandma Johnson and got on the tram!  Riding up and down was so exciting - and we had an awesome view of the beautiful mountains all around us.

What a fun memory to have with great grandma!  We spent the whole afternoon with her, which included playing at the park and dinner on the way home.

Before leaving the top, the kids created their own little rock sculpture :)
