Fun with Jeppsons and Johansons!

We went up to Farmington to spend the day with the Jeppsons and got to go cherry picking!  Here's Amberly supervising Presley and Avery as they chose the reddest ones to put in the bag.  Dad and Caleb stayed at the house because Caleb wasn't feeling well.  He ended up having the throw-ups all day - NOOOO!  (It quickly spread through all of us in the coming days, but miraculously we didn't give it to anyone else  - what?)

What handsome boys!  We went to Dimple Dell Pool with the Johanson's and had a blast!

The boys hanging out...and checking out Max's cool lizard!

City Creek, Hogle Zoo and Liberty Park

We took the train downtown with Pasquale and Pete to see the City Creek Center for the first time.  (Megan stayed home with a sick Liliana).  We had lunch together and walked around for a while - it turned out to be a pretty hot day, so after we met up with Brian and Alisha, we went inside to the food court where they had a children's play area and of course, a place to get ice cream.

The kids had a blast running around and climbing on things together!

The next day was a cousin event at Hogle Zoo!  Here's the group, climbing on a rhino - I think??

The two little heads belong to Presley and Avery looking through the glass at the awesome polar bear.  You could see above and below the water and he gave us a fantastic show filled with numerous flips and jumps in and out of the water!

           The girls posing with Annalyn.

Hanging out with the giraffes and admiring the beautiful tiger.

One of the last things we did was head to the carousel.  The kids wanted to keep riding it and riding it, picking different animals to sit on each time of course - so fun!

Here we are at Liberty Park on the last night before Megan and family left to go home.  Swimming suits, picnic dinner, and even a balloon maker?!?

Wow, isn't this the most adorable picture ever?  Liliana was finally feeling a little better after several days of yucky fever and blah.  What sweet moms and baby girls!

We were so sad to say goodbye, but sooo happy that our trip to Utah overlapped a little with the Melinos visit!  We love love love them!

Wheeler Farm, Utah 2012

It's seems like I just finished posting pictures from our 2011 Utah trip, and in fact, I did.  It takes me soooo long to organize and post and write about our enormous Utah trips because they're 3+ week  excursions and we do so many fun things and I take so many pictures!  I really need to figure out a new system so that I can keep up with my blogging and not still be doing it when the next trip rolls around (that's what happened this last time!)

Anyway, here it goes again- I'll go in order but I'll have to keep up with more current posts at the same time.  So if anyone looks at my blog and wants to know, Utah 2012 posts will be dated in June and July, while other posts from the rest of the summer and into the fall will be showing up once in a while too.

We spent the afternoon at Wheeler Farm the first full day we were in Utah.  Cousins a plenty of course, including Pete and Liliana!  In fact, during this trip we were able to spend time with all three new baby girls - Liliana, Kayla and Lindy...lots of adorable pictures to come!

We started with a little picnic,

fed the ducks,

played played played and enjoyed Kayla and her smiles!

Fun in the sun (well, sort of)

This June beach trip was definitely fun, but not because it was sunny and warm. In fact, the sun kept peeking out all day, but most of the time it was a little chilly and a lot windy! We drove to Wilmington with my neighbor and friend Jennifer and her two kids, Kristen and Justin.  Most of the day was spent doing this:

and this:

They would brave the water every once in a while - can you tell how cold Presley is with her little hands tucked under her legs?

Here they all are looking for little clams or muscles (not sure which).  They were definitely treated as little treasures though!  Sand, waves, sea creatures and friends - we had a fantastic day!

1st Grade Habitat Day

Habitat Day in first grade means the year is coming to an end.  All the kids get to choose an animal and create a habitat for it.  Caleb chose the cheetah and he did a great job painting, gluing and arranging the habitat in a shoe box.  They had a day for families to come in and parade through the classroom to see everyone's creation.  Everyone wanted to know if the zebra had been knocked down...Caleb got tired of saying, "no, the cheetah's eating it."  Maybe a little too realistic??

Here he is with his good friend Shayaan - probably the best thing about 1st grade!

This is another indication of the end of a school year and the start of summer - a buzz cut by dad!
