This nasty looking thing is Avery's plantar wart that we had the doctor look at while we were there. It had become this mess after we had done a few things at home to try to get rid of it. Obviously we weren't successful, so the doctor advised us to do the freezing procedure....OUCH! Avery screamed and screamed in dad's arms while they held it on her toe. It was soooo sad. They also had to get their shots for school too! Oh, what a day! And to put make things worse, mom decided to do this on the day before Halloween...Avery was in pain walking (or running) around all night, but the candy must have been more enticing than the pain because she came home with as much as the other two!

Shots and other unpleasant things...
Couldn't resist putting this picture -
next to this one - (same doctor's office five years later...) So fun and WOW what a difference five years can make!

Here's what it looked like a few days later...even more attractive! Within a little over a week though, it had vanished. Hope we never have to deal with one of these again!
